Written by Rev. F. R. Raines, an antiquary who was an authority on local history of Manchester. Edited by Frank Renaud. With a bookplate to the front pastedowns, 'Thomas Brooke F.S.A. Armitage Bridge'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light fading to the spines. A little worming to the rear joint of Volume I.
