Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. xii, 113 pages : illustrations ; 27 cm ; LC: N6537.H72; Dewey: 700/.92/4; B ; ISBN: 0070528357; 9780070528352 LCCN: 79-835 ; OCLC: 4638359 ; xerographic reproduction in black and white, bound in blue cloth ; no dustjacket ; spot on spine ; This is the house built by James Hubbell that garnered so much attention in the 1970's, and which later succumbed to a firestorm that raged throughout the area. Hubbell's imagery suggests the plastic, naturalistic forms of Rudolf Steiner's Goetheanum in Dornach Switzerland and the floating concrete shapes of Gaudi. Here in this one-off copy, reproducing the photographs in stark black and white rather than in the color of the original, but in tandem, remains the only complete record of the structure ; scarce in the original edition, and this one is unique ; VG. Book.
