Hardcover. Condizione: Good. G+. Black boards with a little color loss, handling wear, a bump to front bottom corner, and a slight bump to fore-edge of back board midway. The spine has been most affected by the toll of years gone by, with obvious patchy spots of color loss/ fading, possibly caused by water or another substance spattering, as well as a small spot of loss midway on the spine, toward the back corner. "Essays on Zionism" remains bright and clear on the spine; front and back boards are devoid of adornment. Back hinge is intact, though front hinge has split at the title page; still, the binding is holding up well and not loose or sloppy. Edges of text block -- which are sizeable in this hefty volume of over 800 pages -- are speckled here and there with, again, what appears to be stains from a splashed substance of some kind, leaving dark spots primarily to bottom edge, but affecting all three edges. Luckily, they do not intrude onto the pages inside, which remain clear and bright, thanks to the quality paper employed. No names, underlining, highlighting, marks, or dogears internally; however, there is a small red ink stamp of "Ref." in the middle of the copyright page and, just below, the phantom of a long-ago erased call number -- nevertheless, there is no other evidence of library ownership, such as a card pocket, call number to spine, etc. No dust jacket, may or may not have been issued with one originally. A compendium of essay on Zionism by leading Jewish (and a few non-Jewish) figures of the day; contributors include Professor Felix Frankfurter, who became a Supreme Court Justice seven years later, and a great many others. A terrific resource for historians or thoughtful citizens.
