Libro
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. Limited edition of 121 copies printed in Utopian deckle-edge white laid paper. Blue cloth dust jacket covers a white quarter binding with same bright blue-color boards. The end pages depict "APictorial sketch of a Ship being warped through the Kennebunk Lock" from a drawing by Edith C. Barry. The exterior quarter binding has some light foxing. The boards are gorgeous and the corners are sharp. The first paste down and the preceding FFEP have a light soil mark at the bottom middle-likely from a dirty finger tip. Other pages are clean except for page 78 which has some dirty finger tip marks. The DJ has some light fraying to the top corner of the cloth. The top of the text block is gilt. The fore edge is very much deckled as described. This book lists the ships built by this shipwright, who owned them; transfer of ownership in some cases; how the ships were deployed in commerce or war; details on the ship type and size and if the ship was still in service or where it was "lost".
