Libro Prima edizione
Couverture souple. Condizione: Très bon. Edition originale. REFERENCES: Garrison & Morton, 2068.8; Bisset NG: War and hunting poisons of the New World. Part 1. Notes on the early history of curare, Journal of ethnopharmacology, 1992, 36(1), 1-26;Bisset NG: Arrow and dart poisons, Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1989,25(1): 1-41; Roland CG: The book forum, JAMA,1965,193(11):981: "Vellard has traveled and lived among the South American Indian tribes for many years. His book is less a medical treatise than an anthropological study. From this extensive personal experience, and a detailed study of previous writings, Vellard compiles a fascinating account of the use and effectiveness of curare. The final chapter contains a brief discussion of the medical applications of curare. However, the most interesting portions of the book are the earlier sections containing Vellard's fascinating first-hand description of life among the aborigines in the South American jungle, and the important role of curare in that life.".
