Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. 1st Edition. This apparent first edition is bound in bright blue cloth with gold flag on the cover and gold lettering on the spine. Very slight fading along spine hinge and the shadow of a ring on the cover--no writing or other marring of the tight interior. The dust jacket is also bright and uncut with some wear along edges and a small tear on the back. Mr. Burns is pictured on the front and a letter from and photo of Gov Tawes, who appointed Mr Burns Poet Laureate, on the back. "In 109 chapters The Poet Laureate gives us his deepest thoughts and his philosophy of life" in essays which first appeared in Annapolis newspaper The Evening Capital.
