Half leather. Condizione: Good. [iv], 82, [8] pages + frontispiece. Page edges untrimmed - tears to some of them. Bound in later half leather, spine worn and damaged, front joint split. Ink numbers written to front end papers. Some pencil notes, occasionally lengthy to the margins + pencil underlining to the text. Page 4 very soiled. Some spotting and browning throughout - offsetting and browning frome the frontispiece to the title page. Book.

Engraved frontispiece (of Kiddington Church, plus two fonts). half green morocco, marbled paper-covered boards, gilt titling to the spine. Binding rubbed, foxing to the frontispiece and the endpapers, short ownership inscription, front free endpaper creased. Overall, this copy is in good condition.

Third edition. Quarto. Contemporary calf, lettered and decorated gilt. A good copy, cracked to the head and base of the upper joint and some offsetting from the frontispiece. Frontispiece engraving of Kiddington church and two fonts after J.C. Buckler. Originally written in 1781 whilst the author was rector of Kiddington, this remains the most comprehensive history of this Oxfordshire village. It was "generally allowed to be one of the most elegant and judicious Accounts of a single Parish that has yet appeared. [it]. would be esteemed an acceptable acquisition to the Topographical Collector." [Preface].
