Printed on silk finish art paper, so heavy book, crimson embossed cloth in gold and black and also spine although this a bit faded and not as bright, minor wear at corners, rear hinge open, stringing just showing. This copy has the personal bookplate of The United States Senate "Official Reporter" 1877-1943 Daniel B Lloyd, of Buena Vista Farm, Prince Georges County, Maryland. From His Library (bookplate inside front board). Heavy full octavo. 1895.

Covers Hunting with hounds, rowing, football, athletics, cycling, cricket, golf etc. US 1st edition. 8vo. xii, 397pp. including photographs in-text and plates. Internally very good, mild rubbing to top edges of early leaves. Separation to end paper joins but remains tight. In original embossed decorative red cloth boards gilt. Corners a little bumped and repair to spine which is a little frayed to the ends and mildly tanned.
