Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good Minus. 2nd Edition. Stated Second Edition. 'With 2 Plates and 12 Test Figures.' As you can see from the photos, the covers have held up extremely well. They are clean with some surface discoloration or clouding on the front. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright. The corners and edges are in very good condition, three corners have a speck-sized spot of rub-through, the edges look close to perfect. The page edges are very clean. The book is square and straight. The book is decently bound, however there is a thin space between the verso of the half-title page and the title page and there is a little bit of stress on the binding there so one would want to handle the early pages gently in order to avoid any detachments. There is also a space between two of the Table of Contents pages and there are a few instances in the text where there is a thin space between two opposing pages. No page is detached in the book. Other imperfections include a very, very tiny loss off the top edge of the half-title page, a few slight tears at the gutter of the first page of the Introduction, and a few edge tears on a couple of pages in the text, including one page with a small piece of scotch tape attached on both sides. That being said, the general condition of the pages is very good. They are exceptionally clean. I didn't see any markings. and with the exception of the previous owner's name ( Arthur B. Stern, Sept. 1929) on the front inside cover, there is no writing to be found anywhere in the book.
