Vintage full-color still photograph from the 1975 US film. Gambler Ron Lewis (Joe Don Baker) wins a ton of money but is later robbed in the street. In self defense he kills a cop and is sentenced to 4 years of prison, where he plots bloody revenge on the corrupt police force and the mayor. Location shooting was critical to the film's gritty look. The AFI catalog notes: "[The film's] end credits include the following information: 'Filmed Entirely on Location in The State of Tennessee.' . shooting was set to begin in mid-Jul 1973 in New Orleans, LA . but filming didn't begin until 14 May 1974, in Nashville, TN, instead of New Orleans. . The film was also shot on locations within twenty miles of the State Capitol in Nashville, TN, including the capitol building itself. At Tennessee State Prison, real security guards and convicts were used as extras. Governor Winfield Dunn loaned his state-owned Lear jet for a sequence filmed at Rutherford County-Smyrna Airport. Nashville's historic downtown was closed down after midnight for filming. Other locations were Radnor Lake, the Starlite nightclub in north Nashville, the Sheraton-South Motor Inn, and Longacres, the opulent estate of a local businessman." 8 x 10 inches. Pinholes, else Near Fine.

Two vintage studio still photographs from the 1970 British-American film. Based on Sheridan Le Fanu's 1871 novella, "Carmilla." An erotic, vampire horror entry in which a beautiful, seductive vampire befriends a young woman and begins to feast off her blood. The lesbian relationship between the vampire and her young victim concerned the censor, who warned that they might have to cut significant portions before it was suitable for release. However, once the production company made it clear that the lesbian relationship was implied in the source material and was not simply a sensationalist ploy, the film was released uncensored. Set in Styria, shot on location in England. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine. Johnson and Del Vecchio, p. 317.

Vintage studio still photograph from the 1950 film. Based on Dorothy Baker's 1938 novel of the same name. Loosely based on the life of Bix Beiderbeck, an influential jazz cornetist who died prematurely at the age of 28. In the film, Kirk Douglas plays the Beiderbeck character, here named Rick Martin. His career is constantly on the rocks, owing in part to his insistence on improvisation despite his band leader's request he stick to the written music, and in part to his alcoholism. Notable for implying that one of the main characters was homosexual, although this was not overtly expressed in the film. Shot on location in California and New York. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
