Originally published in the US by Harper & Row in 1958. The pages are fairly worn at the edges and from the general feel of the book, although there are no stamps or labels, this book has possibly been in some kind of lending library. Tape marks to top and bottom of front and rear panels of boards - the boards are otherwise clean and bright and not worn. The page edges are browned and worn. Browning to endpapers. A few light spots and stains through the book. The jacket has chipping at the top of the spine and the corners with some loss. Triangular chip out of bottom edge of front panel. Jacket has some light chipping to the top of the spine and a little light edge wear. It has also been trimmed very slightly along the bottom edge and there are two small spots of wear to the spine.
