DJ has price clipped, label on the spine and taped label on the back, wrinkling and crease on the edges and corners, inside flaps taped twice on the top and bottom to the book cover, light discoloration and shelf wear otherwise good. Book has rubbing on the cover edges, library stamping on the page edges and contents page with pencil writing, tape stains on the top and bottom of the loose endpapers, cardholder adhered on the front loose endpaper, label with some stains on the title page and copyright page, lightly water soiled on the first few pages, discoloration, and shelf wear otherwise good. Third edition revised and reset 1959, Reprinted 1963. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.

A tight, sound copy in red cloth covered boards with gold lettering and graphics on the spine with minor overall shelf wear with some blue ink underlining on pages 63 and 64 plus there is extensive underlining in red ink on pages 110 through 122 plus there are two spots of cloth separation from the board on the front (about 0.25"x1" and 0.75"x1.75") plus there is some light bumping of the right corners of the front board. The dust jacket shows minor overall shelf wear with some edge wear and chipping along the top and bottom spine edges and at the right corners plus there is a small closed tear (about 0.5") at the top left corner on the back. A book that examines German literature from 1880 to 1950. Bibliography, indexed, 584p. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
