Interior pages very clean and bright; no tears or writing. Binding firm Charlot was briefly an assistant to Diego Rivera which explains the similarity of the line drawings to Diego Rivera, who was the premier Mexican artist of the 20th century. Charlot and Rivera shared a complex relationship over the years but Charlot, a French Mexican, shared a deep interest in the ancient civilizations of Mexico.
