A short introductory text is followed by 5 full-page illustrations of page areas, the foreword announces that 'It is expected that book publishers, paper suppliers, book printers and book binders will accept these recommendations and put them into practice by September 1970. By doing so it will reduce confusion (and possible variations) to the absolute minimum. paper in the recommended sizes is expected to be available early in 1970.'
