Printed Issue Wrappers. Condizione: Good+. 1st Edition. pp.218-225 of whole number, 17 other papers range in content from hermaphrodism in cod and herring to a description of a section cutter for microscopical purposes. Another brain-related paper is G.W. Callender 'Description of afoetal brain' pp.247-255. Internally clean and tight, wrappers worn at sp. ends and a few small pen/pencil markings top fr. otherwise quite clean and bright. Complete pagination of issue is: 199-348+engraved plates VIII-XI (including two illustrating Broadbent's paper). An early and apparently little-noticed contribution to the early history of localisation of brain function following the discovery of Broca's Area in 1861 (who is not cited, his main references being to Bastian and Hughlings Jackson).
