Condizione: Good. - sc 12mo [5-1/4 inches high by 4-3/8 inches wide]. 25 words penned in black ink on a small piece of cream stock. Signed "Wm H. Callcott'. The letter is slightly soiled. It has been mounted on card stock & remnants of gray mounting paper adhere to the card where the letter has been removed from an album. Folded twice for mailing. Very good. Callcott thanks a gentleman for his kind note and writes that he will call on him the following morning.William Hutchins Callcott [1807-1882] studied music under his father Dr. John Wall Calcott, and his brother-in-law William Horsley. He composed numerous works for the piano as well as glees, songs and anthems. He was organist at Ely Place Chapel for a time and later for sixteen years at St. Barnabas' Church, Kensington, London.
