Trade Paperback. Condizione: Used - Good. Celebrating poet Robert Creeley's pathbreaking role as an artistic collaborator, this illustrated volume adds substantially to the documented history of contemporary multidisciplinary art. For more than forty years, Creeley has worked on collaborative projects with some of the best-known artists of our time, including Georg Baselitz, Francesco Clemente, Jim Dine, R. B. Kitaj, Marisol, and Susan Rothenberg. 'In Company' explores this history with essays, interviews, archival photographs, and images of the books and portfolios created, from 'Numbers' (1968) with Robert Indiana to 'Edges' (1997) with Alex Katz. An accompanying CD-ROM features interactive presentations of the projects. The publication of 'In Company' coincides with a traveling exhibition organized by the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University. The exhibition, which opened in Niagara this spring and will travel to the New York Public Library in September, will also appear at the Weatherspoon Art Gallery at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum, and Stanford University's Green Library. Robert Creeley, winner of the 1999 Bollingen Prize and author of more than 60 volumes of poetry, is Samuel P. Capen Professor of Poetry and Humanities at the State University of New York at Buffalo. This illustrated volume celebrates poet Robert Creeley 's innovative role over several decades as an artistic collaborator with some of the best known artists of our time. Includes a CD-ROM. Outside of book shows mild scuffing and shelf wear. Inside of book is bright, neat, and crisp. Binding is tight and unworn. Disc is intact and totally unused.

Soft cover. Condizione: Good. 2001 edition. Good. EX-Library with usual marks, etc. Free front endpaper is corner cut to remove the library computer code, which also cuts the corner of the reverse which is the copyright page. You can still read the copyright information. The copyright page is across from the title page (instead of the next page). Internally this copy is very clean, with all plates bright and unmarked. The shape of this 2001 edition does not match the stock photo. This is upright not oblong. There is a white strip across the top with the title information. Front and back cover has a fold-over page which is a continuation of the cover. It is in a plastic library cover and is taped down but the tape could be cut. Underneath it looks like there is tape damage to the original blue covers. If you are basically interested in the plates, they are in excellent condition.

American artist John Baldessari and film set designer Naomi Shohan created "PA" #3 presenting a unique combination: film stills from the outsider's view the artist's take on Hollywood and film stills from the insider's view the set designer who has worked on many major film productions such as "American Beauty," "Constantine," "The Replacement Killers," "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," as well as many others. They engage in a visual dialogue and play with juxtapositions, correspondences, and contrasts, which add new surprising, ironic, and witty dimensions and narrations to the images. The publication includes a conversation between John Baldessari and Naomi Shohan, moderated by Amy Cappellazzo, as well as texts by David Campany and Jessica Morgan.
