Treatment script for an unproduced film, agency copy, photocopied for internal distribution. With manuscript ink annotations on the title page, noting a change in address for screenwriter Harley Cokeliss. From the collection of novelist William Hjortsberg, who worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood between 1977-1985. Hjortsberg is best known for the screenplay adaptation of "Angel Heart" (1987), based on his 1978 novel. A painter is recruited by a young woman from a mysterious, secret world to help her rescue her brother from her uncle, who murdered her father and seeks to control her family's fortune. Screenwriter Cokeliss was best known for his work in film throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "Black Moon Rising" (1986) and "Malone" (1987). Set in New York. White generic Agency for the Performing Arts wrappers. Title page present, dated 1983, with credits for screenwriter Harley Cokliss [sic]. 15 leaves, with last page of text numbered 14. Itcontains poetry andshort storiesby FIFTY contributors plusmusical score and words to WHAT'S INYOUR MIND, MY DOVE, music by PaulSartin, to the words of W.H. Auden.All the writings are in honour of JOHN FULLER, and the editors were Barney Cokeliss and James Fenton. Included is a bibliography of John Fuller compiled by Amanda Pilz. Bound in yellow paper boards with printedpaper label to the upperboardover blue cloth spine, blue end papers, the volume measures 28x19cm.
