FIRST. FINE/no dj. Yellow cloth boards; decorated endpapers. Ethyl Percy Andrus was Founder and first President of the American Association for Retired Persons and of the National Retired Teachers Association. She therefore played a pivotal role in establishing permanent cultural institutions in the United States which play a major role in American politics and economics. This book of editorials she had written during her career is an homage published a year after her passing in 1967. The volume was a 25th anniversary presentation copy of 1972, for the NRTA, and is signed by Roger S Trounday, State of Nevada Dept of Health & Welfare, and by Mary Gayle Jensen, NRTA Nevada State Director. The volume is in wonderful condition, nearly 'as published'. A book for the American historian and/or Nevada archivist. [B115]. Signed by Celebrities.
