Hardcover. Condizione: Poor. Magnificent, but NOT in good shape. The gorgeous oversized Dore' engravings may make your eyes tear. Unfortunately for us, this book has been MUCH LOVED and worn to show it. this is a candidate for re-binding, (or, heavens forbid, and say you did not read it here, for framing) as the cover is split loose, but the bindery stitching has held up rather well. Rubbing, tearing, chipping, fraying, with some foxing to pages. Gilt top. Page after page of large-format engravings, each with protective tissue. Please note: Due to the weight of this tome, overseas shipping will be considerably more than the quoted ABE price. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

New Edition. Cassell and Company, Limited. Hardback. Book - Good. Ex-lib, embossed library stamped throughout. Light wear to spine ends, clean content.
