(illustratore). Dave Muller Hrsg. "Life in Space, Phase 1: The Double-Barreled Linear Accelerator Model. A Three Day Weekend Project organised by Dave Mulller. CCAC Institute San Francisco and Four Walls. Memorial Day Weekend 28 May - 31 May 1999." 360:115mm. 56S. Zahlr. Ilustr. Illustr. Or.-Brosch. Ausstellungskatalog. ""Life in Space, Phase 1: .," a 'Three Day Weekend' event organized by Dave Muller, is designed to take place in a long Bi-level hallway situated at the new CCAC San Francisco campus. One Space is a finished corridor that bisects the building into two spaces called 'Alpha' and 'Beta.' Its primary function is to create flow and access. Directly below is an unfinished space, almost a service tunnel. Dimly lit, it serves as the 'control center' for the school, housing all electrical boxes, and computerized systems. Although the two spaces share the same floorplan, each has an entirely different feel. Moreover, artists have been asked to create two similar works for this Bi-level hallway situation. The two similar works will be installed directly above and below one another. In effect, the exhibition will replicated itself, allowing the viewer to experience the same work under extremely different circumstances." "Dave Muller, born 1964 in San Francisco, became known for nomadic social art events, known as Three Day Weekends. Three Day Weekend are vacation-length shows Dave Muller organized, on ?bank holidays? for more than a decade from 1994 to 2000. Occasional hosting of those shows was in an exhibition space called "Three Day Week-end" in Angeleno Heights (the oldest commuter neighbourhood in LA). It´s here that Muller hosts three-day-long group shows featuring his friends and artists he likes, held whenever there´s a public holiday situated on a Friday or Monday. Unlike the commercial gallery openings out in Santa Monica, at "Three Day Weekend" there´s no pressure to see and be seen: Dave Muller´s receptions involve listening to an art-garage band, or eating a hot dog.".
