Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. The Bibliophile Library of Literature Art and Rare Manuscripts was a mammoth collection of (to quote the subtitle) "History, Biography, Science, Poetry, Drama, Travel, Adventure, Fiction, and Rare and Little-Known Literature from the Archives of the Great Libraries of the World.". What we have here are the final two volumes, which together comprise The Bibliophile Dictionary - a combination of biographical and bibliographical dictionary of "every important author known in literary history". Without the other 28 volumes of the Library, these two volumes stand alone as a thorough and useful dictionary of literature. These are from the "Member's Edition de Luxe" that comprised 1,000 sets. Volume 29 is numbered 291 out of the 1,000; volume 30 is out of series. Nice heavy green cloth boards with paper spine labels, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Both volumes have slightly worn and faded spine labels, a little browning to edges and are partially unopened. A very good pair of volumes. Expect additional shipping.
