The pages are age-toned but not brittle, and they are free of markings of any sort. There are varying degrees of wear to the spines, with chipping at the tops, especially volume I. Someone has ill-advisedly put a bit of tape on the bottom of the spine of Vol. II. If desired, I'll put all three ibooks n clear mylar jackets, which should help a lot with the chipping. Let me know if you want this.
