Contains the drawings of William Mulready, the wood engravings of John O'Connor, the sculpture of Daphne Hardy, J.M. Gandy's architectural visions, and the book illustrations of John Minton. Laid in is a slightly toned postscript to *Image* in the form of a 4 page newsletter.

Twenty-five illustrations, including drawings by Mervyn Peake "from a Swedish edition to be published this year of Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Through The Looking Glass' This edition will not be published in England for at least two years" and 'The Hunting of the Snark', two full-page black and white lithographs by Mervyn Peake from a projected edition of 'Bleak House' and two of the colour-stencilled plates [colour-stencilled by hand using aniline dye inks] by Mervyn Peake from 'Ride a Cock Horse', black and white illustrations by Mevyn Peake from 'The Rime of The Ancient Mariner', and Grimm's 'Household Tales', black and white line illustrations from 'Quest for Sita' by Mauris Collis. Eight pages of artist Kate Greenaway's colour illustrations [including four full-page plates from 'The Tea Party', 'Marigold Garden' and the opening page 'Apple Pie' from Greenaway 'ABC' and 'Little Fanny wears a hat'] and pages from 'Mother Goose' or 'The Old Nursery Rhymes' and 'The Birthday Book' and 'The Language of Flowers.' ***Very good in turquoise and orange printed beige card wrappers with white plastic spiral-bound spine (as called for).
