Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. Ilex Beller (illustratore). 1st Edition. First Edition ( 'First published in the United States of America 1986' ). With eighty color plates, all in excellent condition. You can see the yellow covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. The black lettering on the front and on the spine is very bright. There is a tiny bit of wear just adjacent to the top edge of the spine. The cover edges are in very good shape, just a few little nicks at the bottom ones, no rubbing on any of them. The cover corners look very good, no rubbing. There is a little crease below the front covers top corner. The page edges look perfectly clean. The spine has a slightly forward lean, but the book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. Scrolling through the pages, I haven't found any instances of soiling. There are no turned-down corners, no placeholder creases. There are a few very minor crinkles. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It's in nice condition. There's a little bit of wrinkling just off the front top edge and spine, and several creases on the rear cover. I don't see any tears or losses. Despite been white it is quite clean. I have always had the jacket in a fitted protective cover. The flaps are in excellent shape, very clean, a tiny crease at each of the two top corners. The jacket is not priced or clipped. From the dust jacket: 'Ilex Beller's paintings, now made available for the first time with his commentary in English, depict the precarious, arduous, and beautiful aspects of life in a Polish shetl.'.
