Together 4 pp. Interesting corresponcence with the publisher Maurice Delamain, director of the Librairie Stock, concerning various Stock publications and requests. - On 25 May 1942, Daniel-Rops congratulates Delamain on his 1942 publication of Paul Mégnin's book on rare wild animals in France, "Gibiers rares de France", as part of the series "Livres de Nature". He then describes two personal encounters with wild animals in detail, first with a big cat, possibly a lynx, when he was crossing the Canjuers in the Var region by car in 1938 and, secondly, an unlikely sight of flamingos at the Lac du Bourget in Savoie. - In the letter from 5 December 1945, Daniel-Rops asks Delamain for a copy of the 1944 French publication of Katherine Mansfield's notebooks. - Finally, the letter that can be dated with respect to Daniel-Rops' election to the Académie française in 1955, is to inquire about upcoming publications in the "Livres de Nature" series, as he is planning to compose an article on nature writing. - The dated letters on stationery with blindstamped address and stamped by Librairie Stock. The undated letter on stationery with printed letterhead "Daniel-Rops de l'Académie française - Directeur d'Ecclesia". Minor tears and stains.

Various formats. Altogether 4 pp. Together with an autograph envelope. Charming correspondence with the literary historian Georges Lubin and his wife, mostly invoking their friendship but also discussing work. In a postcard from 17 October 1947, Daniel-Rops asks Lubin to "besiege the various editorial offices" in an unspecified matter, white on 8 January 1949, he motivates him to continue with his work despite the "disappearance of the M. I." - possibly a manuscript. In a beautiful letter from 21 November 1948, Daniel-Rops thanks Lubin's wife for their friendship and encouragement: "Je me réjouis de penser qu'en vous et votre mari a je - malgré les difficultés actuelles - obtenu les promesses et les encouragements. Vous savez combien je souhaite qu'il puisse donner sa mesure [.]". - The postcards with personal lithographed signet of Daniel-Rops. Two of the letters on stationery with Daniel-Rops's Paris address, the third letter on stationery with lithographed letterhead of his house "Eau Vive" in Tresserve, Savoie. The postcard from 1949 with a tear to the lower right corner.
