Rubbing with surface loss to cloth around all edges, spine ends and front hinge; central cloth clean and sharp; spine titles dulled but still clearly legible. Moderate to strong spine slant/cocking, stronger toward lower end to otherwise strong binding with hinge tape reinforcements to gutters on endpapers (light play to front hinge). Uniform toning to clean, unmarked pages.

Much more than the operation of gasoline engines can be gleaned from this cultural artifact.
