Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is an in-depth examination of the geology of the Cave in Rock district, which is part of the Illinois-Kentucky fluorspar field. The author, a geologist for the United States Geological Survey, provides a detailed account of the stratigraphy, structure, and economic geology of the district, and places the geology into a broader historical context. The book is based on fieldwork conducted in the 1930s and incorporates data from previous studies. It includes a wealth of detailed information on the local geology, including descriptions of individual faults and mines, as well as a discussion of the regional geologic setting. The author's insights into the origin of the fluorspar deposits, based on the detailed geologic mapping and study of mine workings, are of particular interest. The book is a valuable resource for geologists and mining engineers interested in the geology and mineral resources of the Illinois-Kentucky fluorspar field. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
