A native of Leflore County, Mississippi, author Frank Smith (1918-1997) was elected to the US House of Representatives for six terms from 1951 to 1962 where after he was appointed by President Kennedy to the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority on which he served until his retirement in 1972. All prints fresh and attractive, each in a colored metal frame. A stunning set. Each print approximately 16 x 13.5 inches visible (each print is matted, framed, and glazed in frames of various colors). Each print bears the Currier Press embossed stamp. Prints are bright and fine (very minor marginal creasing and a small closed marginal tear to the Wright print, not affecting image). Previously sold by Baumann Books and coming with their descriptive sheet. Also included is the plain brown portfolio that originally housed the prints. Please note that this set is very heavy in the metal frames.
