Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Original violet cloth, stamped gilt lettering, 5x7 ¼ inches, 343 pp + publisher's ads, no illustrations. Hardcover, very good. Minimally marked ex-library (only a bookplate on paste down front end paper, no numbers on spine, etc. ). Spine and adjoining areas tanned, drop mark there, a few 1/16th inch nicks at head, foxing along edges of textblock, on endpapers and sporadically in-text, 1 dogear, lower corners of last few leaves creased, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, probably never really read. Rather anti-Catholic introduction, in which it is explained that the author had been Superior of the Barefoot Carmelites in Paris, but left the Roman Catholic church, was excommunicated, and came to the USA as a layman. Religion; Christian; apostasy; polemic.
