This book is a compilation of the papers presented in a round table conference on "Commercialisation and Privatisation of Outer Space: Issues for National Space Legislation" organised by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, in association with TMT Law Practice, New Delhi. The book is the first of its kind as it contains a compilation of scholarly papers written by space experts, drawing from the experiences of academicians, attorneys and those in the industry reflecting upon the commercial aspect of space activities and the underlying legal landscape governing them. It addresses the necessity for private sector participation in outer space and the need for a national space legislation for India. It discusses India's international obligation; reflects upon relevant principles and rules of the international space law; studies the laws of spacefaring nations and outlines the minimum legislative agenda as to what should be the content of such a legislation. It also discusses legal issues relating to commercial space activities like remote sensing and space transportation. Privatisation aspects of the PSLVs have also been discussed. This book is of relevance not only to students, researchers, scholars, academicians in the field of outer space but also to all those interested in the rule of law in outer space including government officials, industry executives, specialists and lawyers.

Upon implementation of the Green Revolution, manifold increase in food production rendered a new era of chemical agriculture resulting in adverse effects on flora, fauna, soil, water, human health and ecology. Technological improvements in crop protection such as soil and seed-treatment, biofumigation, sitespecific management, non-chemicals and biopesticides, sound and needbased use of semiochemicals, the introduction of resistant or tolerant plant materials, the introduction of biotechnological approaches, and overall the IPM strategies have made a significant contribution to obtain the least polluted agri-commodities with minimum disturbance to the ecosystem. The current book discusses various issues on (i) abiotic and biotic stresses threatening agriculture, (ii) non-chemical strategies encouraging organic management, (iii) chemical tactics against biotic stress, (iv) improving agricultural commodities using postharvest tools, and (v) legal implications in pest management. The chapters are presented in the form of an extended summary based on the knowledge and researchoriented attempts with recent, innovative and indigenous technical approaches. This book will immensely be helpful to train the students, faculties, scientists, government officials, extension personnel, representatives of NGOs or private organizations, progressive farmers and policy-makers to provide safer food materials to humankind.

Neuware -Conventional 24x24 multiply architectures are implemented in floating point multipliers using array multipliers, redundant binary architectures( Pipeline Stages), modified booth encoding, a binary tree of 4:2 Compressors (Wallace tree) and modified carry save array in conjunction with Booth's algorithm. There are number of problems associated with tree and array multipliers. Tree multipliers have many problems like shortest logic delay but irregular layouts with complicated interconnects, irregular layouts not only demand more physical design effort, but also introduce significant interconnect delay. Similarly, array multipliers has also some drawbacks associated with them such as they have larger delay and offer regular layout with simpler interconnects. Also significant amount of power consumption as reconfigurability at run time is not provided according to the input bit width. In order to remove the above problems, Urdhvatriyakbhyam algorithm of ancient Indian Vedic Mathematics is utilized. Simulation of 32-bit Floating Point Multiplier and application of Vedic Mathematics is an important part of this dissertation.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 52 pp. Englisch.

This book discusses the need for national space legislation in India in the wake of private stakeholders entering the field and the expansion of outer space activities. Highlighting Indias commitment to responsibly pursuing its outer space ambitions through rule of law, the book discusses the rationale behind national space legislation and addresses the requirements of both international and domestic law. In order to suggest draft framework national space legislation for India, it examines and compares the legislations of twenty major space-faring countries to identify the best practices. One of the few scientific studies in India that proposes draft framework legislation for space activities in India, this book summarizes the three main reasons why national space legislation is necessary to fulfill international obligations, to address Indias specific requirements and to enable non-governmental entities to participate. A must read for anyone interested in international space law and Indias role and responsibility toward it, it is a valuable resource for academics, scientists, policymakers, industry executives, lawyers and students as well as amateur space enthusiasts. Neuware -Repetitive Corrugation and Straightening (RCS) process is one of the Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) techniques which introduces a large amount of plastic deformation in a sheet workpiece without significantly changing its cross-sectional geometry. In present work experimentation and Finite Element (FE) study of Repetitive Corrugation and Straightening (RCS) process is being attempted. The work is done in two parts i.e. Finite Element Study and Experimentation work. In the Finite Element study, the effect of triangular and circular teeth effect has been studied and an intermediate teeth design is used. The teeth are of triangular in shape with a rounded top. Experimentation of RCS process is attempted with a 100mm x 100mm x 1 mm of Al6061 sheet. Experimentation was performed for three cycles of RCS process giving 90° Clockwise rotation along the perpendicular axis to the surface after each pass. Three mechanical tests were performed viz. Micro Hardness test, Tensile test and Stiffness test. To study the effect of the process these tests were performed on processed as well as unprocessed sheet sample. The hardness test shows an increase in hardness after every pass.VDM Verlag, Dudweiler Landstraße 99, 66123 Saarbrücken 56 pp. Englisch.
