The price-clipped dust jacket is rubbed & slightly chipped with a few short tears along the edges. [x], 321 & [1] pages, illustrated with pictorial endpapers, a color pictorial title page and 9 full-page color plates by N.C. Wyeth. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper. A reissue of the 1922 edition, published in the 1950's.

Wyeth, originally issued in 1917, with the story itself adapted & "edited for boys" from the classic tales of Sir Thomas Malory by S. Lanier. Hardcover book has brown cloth-covered boards with slightly faded gilt lettering to spine & a colorful front pastedown, frontispiece, & 13 full-page, full-color, internal illustrations (all intact) by N. C. Wyeth. Condition is solidly VG: very clean with the occasional spot or smudge. Binding straight & strong, hinges intact. Pages show moderate-heavy tanning, but are still supple. Old gift inscription dated 1937 & another former owner's signature from 1953 on ffep, else unmarked. Modest rubbing to extremities, bumped corners. Torn triangular area in the lower left corner of the front pastedown & looks like some pencil scribbles in title box; else, bright & colorful with minimal edgewear!
