Condizione: Very Good. This marvelous publication was first produced - in a limited edition of one - in 1918, by Eugene Laurant. The original is in the files of Squash Publishing. The Magic Hat details Laurant's Chapeaugraphy routine, one of the features of a full-evening program he presented for over 25 years. Each character is pictured with the appropriate patter, in charming rhyming verse, written in Laurant's own hand, accompanying each photograph. Laurant, over the course of his career, was a celebrity on the Lyceum and Chautauqua stages of America. Squash Publishing has released a limited number - 250 copies - of The Magic Hat, faithfully reproducing Laurant's original work in nearly every detail. Additionally, Gabe Fajuri has added pages of commentary, including a history of Chapeaugraphy, and a brief biography of Laurant. Very good condition.
