Libro Prima edizione
Soft cover. Condizione: Good. 1st Edition. Lot of 5 issues of Sequoia magazine, including the inaugural 3 issues: Vol. 1 Nos. 1 & 2; Vol. 2 No. 1; Vol. 3 No. 2; and Vol. 4 No. 3. Edited originally by Linda Lovelace and later Eleanor Ogden and Frances Monson, the magazine aimed to strike a balance between the two ostensible extremes of student-run university magazines - the pandering humor magazine and the elitist literary one. With contributions from Richard Elman, Howard Mumford Jones, Luis Harss, Malcolm Cowley, Philip Rhinelander, Gus Blaisdell, H. Stuart Hughes, David Riesman, William Spengemann, and many others. 6" x 9" softcover books in card wraps with black and white illustrations. From the collection of a tobacco smoker, these books have mild-moderate toning to the spines and a very faint aroma within. Sadly one issue has the front cover seperated, with the back cover still on firmly. All with sound bindings and crisp, unmarked pages, with only mild shelfwear throughout and the occasional corner crease / hint of rubbing. Sharp copies in overall very good condition.
