The book is divided into two parts: "My Baja" and "My Funny Baja." I fell in love with the area when I first visited the city of Rosarito in 1980, and the love affair has continued. After dozens of visits I was able to move to the area in 1997 and have never regretted it and have never looked back. I love the friendliness and helpfulness of people, the culture, the ease of living, and the many humorous things that have happened to me along the way. These are the sorts of things I wrote about for the two newspapers and which became part o this collection. Once at a party, a friend introduced me to another person and said, "Marsh, tell my friend when you're moving back to the U.S." What! I thought. I'm not moving back, and I said so. Baja was truly my home, and I was determined never to leave. My friend knew that, of course, and admitted she was just wanted her friend to see how strongly people felt about the area.This book is a revised edition of the original, which was published in 2007 to great reviews, which often compared the writing to that of Jack Smith, a longtime columnist for the L.A.
