The endpapers/pastedowns are pictorial denoting a topigraphical map with the Meuse River and surrounding areas. On the second front free-endpaper THE AUTHOR HAS INSCRIBED AND SIGNED THE BOOK AS FOLLOWS: "To Charles W Smith With the regards of John Lee McElroy March 29-1928 NOTE: Until I find out different I am using the date of the author's inscription (1928) as the date of publication.
