With late readings in Mark 16:9ff and John 7:53-8:11. Text in Greek. Binding with some scuffing along edges and spine, here with some chipping at head of spine. Bookplate of the United Theological Seminary Library on inside front cover; library sticker printed in red on inside back cover. Some light staining of upper half of front free endpaper and title page. Library stamp on verso of title page. Some age-toning and light dampstaning of block.

This is the second U.S. edition (the first edition appeared in 1800). Of course, the text retains the late readings in Mark 16:9ff and John 7:53-8:11. Original calf binding with a nice tight binding. William V. Jordan's name is on front endpaper pastedown.

VG- (overall light wear to leather boards with corners bumped, age toning to pages as expected with age but text is otherwise very clear. Hinges are slightly loose internally with all pages intact. Slipcase has light shelfwear but is otherwise in very good condition.).
