Gail Connor wanted to surprise her husband when she showed up at the rooming house where he was staying, but she was surprised to find the dead body of a good looking woman under his bed. Ex-library with a sticker on the front end paper. Bumped and rubbed, hinges beginning to crack with tape shadows to the pastedowns. Jacket rubbed with chips and tears, including 1" loss to the spine heel. Spine darkened with the title illegiblle, remnants of a paper backing still visible internally. Tape residue to the flaps, in Brodart. Ex-Library.

Contents fresh and clean, paper slightly toned. No ads in text. 1"closed tear to top margin of two pages. 25x17cms, stapled, in colour pictorial cover. This is fresh and bright and uncreased, but for the tips of the corners. UK Charles Atlas ad inside front cover. US copyright date is 1940, but the advert on the back cover speaks of ICS's '61 years experience': ICS was founded in the US in 1889, so this UK issue is likely 1950. Very nice copy.
