Softcover. Condizione: New. 2a.ed., 4a. reimpr. 18x12 cm. Colección El libro de bolsillo, Filosofía, 27. 376 p., Rústica. Sprache: Spanisch, NUEVO / NEU / NEW. Hardcover. Condizione: Good. This is the Third Printing of "Principia Ethica" by George Edward Moore (1873 - 1958), who was one of the leading English philosophers in the early Twentieth Century. Moore, along with Bertrand Russell, Ludwig Wittgenstein and others, was one of the chief formulators of analytical philosophy. "Principia Ethica", was one of the most important of Moore's works, and, as such, is extremely important in the history of modern philosophy. It was published in hardcover format by Cambridge University Press in England. ********************************************* This particular copy came from the personal library of a professor of philosophy, and has some penciled and inked marginalia. ***************************************** TITLE : Principia Ethica / AUTHOR : George Edward Moore (1873 1958) / IMPRINT : Cambridge University Press / P,ACE : Cambridge, England / DATE : 1929 / EDITION : Third Printing / DETAILS : Scholarly hardcover, published for the trade; contains the author's Preface and an index; xxvii + (1) + 232 pages; approximately 5 1/2" x 8 3/4" (8 vo); fairly smooth, dark brown , cloth-covered boards and spine, with gilt lettering and publisher's device on spine; text-block edges are rough-cut (untrimmed). **************************************** CONDITION . GOOD PLUS This is a previously owned book that remains clean and serviceable, with the following particulars noted : : EXTERIOR - Gilt on spine is still bright; spine extremities are compressed and display modest abrasion, with fraying just starting. Cover corner tips are rubbed, and fore-edge tips are softly bumped. boards, front and back, display weathering along the edges , with damp stains (fairly weak) along the top edges; surface rub is moderate; the cloth is slightly bubbled , front and back (of no great effect), and there are a few scattered small scrapes and abrasions (of small effect); text-block edges are toned. / BINDING -- Solid. / INTERIOR -- End-papers are just slightly toned, with just a touch of weathering. As mentioned above, there are a number of neatly effected marginal notations made in both ink and pencil. These were likely made by the professor from whose collection this book was obtained. Paper throughout is only slightly toned.
