Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. First Edition. No Stock Photos! We photograph every item. Kid Kyle is happiest when he's being the navigator in his uncle Hank's taxi. Cruising the streets of New York City, he escapes his parents' fighting and learns all sorts of things, like how to spot tourists and other big tippers. But Kyle's strict Wall Street parents don't approve of Uncle Hank's freewheeling ways. Imagine what they'd say if they found out the pair had befriended three quirky downtown witches?.

Encuadernación de tapa blanda. Condizione: Nuevo.

1/2 Vellum. Condizione: Fair. Condizione sovraccoperta: No Dj as Issued. Thomas Mosher (illustratore). 1st Edition Thus. a fair to good copy, in the original 1/4 vellum and Holland boards. On hand made laid paper one of only 250 copies private press by Thomas bird Mosher of Portland Lane. However, there is a dampstain to the bottom of both covers, reaching to the bottoms of some leaves, before this accident was this was a fine copy. thus the low price. Thomas Bird Mosher, Portland, 1915. Quarto. Pp. xxvii, [74]. One of 250 copies. Hand made paper by Van Gelder. Facsimile of 1880 first edition title page included. Frontipspiece of Richard F. Burton with tissue guard tipped in. Gilt lettering in Arabic on both boards reds "Abdi Haji al-Kasidah." On upper right corner of facsimile title page the numbers "1/250" are penciled in: it is not possible to infer, in fact, that this was the first of the 250 copies published by Mosher. There is considerable speculation about this work suggesting that it is entirely the creation of Burton based upon his extraordinary knowledge of Middle Eastern literature and writings. At the very least, the name "Abdi Haji el-Yezdi" is rather curious. In any event, this is a glorious tribute to the astounding life of Burton and it includes some profound compliments to his remarkable career Size: 4to. Private Press.
