Paperback. Condizione: Very Good. Presumed first edition (no additional printings listed). Original covers, staplebound, 6x9 inches, 28 pp, illustrated with black and white photographs. Paperback, very good. Shelf scuffed, flipped through, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. Consists of excerpts from "Moby Dick" about Father Mapple, a talk on his inspiration, Rev Enoch Taylor and finally a biographical sketch of the Rev Charles F Thurber, who combined the characteristics of the two. Bethel Chapel and Mariners Home was dedicated to the moral, material and spiritual improvement of seamen.
