The photographs of the phone booths are mainly whole-page, black and white and somehow disconcerting. According to David Chandler, who introduces the work, they were taken from the Budapest underground in 1997. His introduction begins with the marginal heading: The phone rings, and rings but nobody answers B/W card covers with page-size folding flaps. Some slight marking/light scratching effect. Mild tanning at the page margins. Signed in pencil: 'For Lisa from Nicholas'. Also, pencil markings of a previous seller on ffep. Unpaginated. 230 x 230 mm.
