Galeriewerk dokumentiert. Le Brun selbst war den neuen Machthabern in Paris in den Folgejahren unentbehrlich für die Neuausrichtung des Nationalmuseums / Jean Baptiste Pierre le Brun (1748-1813), husband of Vigee Lebrun, besides being a great dealer in paintings. 1788 he opened his art gallery "Salle Lebrun" in Paris with paintings from famous old masters.
