Glossy cover clean bar a small faint darkish price label ghost to front, back outer corners a tad curled. xv + 430 + (8, pub.liist), lists also to inside of cover, 14 text figs + 4 on leaf ex-pagination inc. in fig. numbering; generally clean, tight, unmarked and unworn, a few shallow top outer corner creases. This trans. was pub. by O.U.P. in 1927 and this issued by Dover in 1960, but this an unspecified reprint as has 10 digit ISBN to spine. 13.5 cm x 19.5 cm.

No Jacket. 1st ed. 654 pp.; 1956-dated sig.top front endpaper, short review tipped in on front pastedown, otherwise near pristine in generally clean, bright covers with just a hint of edge-bumping top back. Includes a chapter on Pavlov's significance by Kh.S.Koshtoyants and a short 'Autobiography' by Pavlov himself, other chapters range from public addresses to lectures on physiology, , papers on hypnotism and sleep (2 co-authored) and criticisms of a wide range of eminent contemporaries (Sherrington, Kohler, Janet etc) drawn from his famous 'Wednesday' gatherings.
