Ziel dabei war es, zunächst die Standortfaktoren zu ermitteln, die zur Beantwortung dieser Frage beitragen. Um eine erste Orientierungshilfe zu erhalten, wurden mögliche relevante Standortfaktoren anhand vorhandener Theorie zusammengefasst. Im Rahmen einer empirischen Erhebung durch leitfadengestützte Interviews mit Londoner Bankern, wurden die Standortfaktoren ermittelt, die bei einer Standortverlagerung von London nach Frankfurt eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Abschließend wurden diese durch eine Nutzwertanalyse bewertet und gewichtet.
