Libro Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. FIRST EDITION. Rare. Compiled and designed by Amy Carol Rand. Front cover designed and initialed by the author/illustrator (incorporated into the printing). Heavy, sturdy pages, beautifully illustrated in green and red ink with black type throughout, with the author/illustrators initials incorporated into the printing. Front endpage embossed at the bottom right corner with the original bookshop's information: "Bought from Lindmark's Book Shop, Poughkeepsie, New York". Printed information paper laid in with information on Lindmark's Book Store, (circa 1912-1963), where this book was originally purchased. This book details: 1) how to start a garden, 2) what to do in the garden month by month, 3) general hints for blub culture, planting tables for flowers (annuals, biennials and perennials), and 4) an entire section in which the reader can record flowers planted in the garden (approx. 48 pages). Beige cloth binding illustrated in pink and green with black lettering. Decorative pink and green illustration adorns the spine, also with black lettering. Cover and spine show some wear within the illustrations and some faint staining. Corners show some wear, particularly on the back, top corner. Pages are slightly yellowed due to age. There are several cracks within the gutter, exposing some of the spin's netting and/or stitching, yet the binding is still solid, with pages fully intact. Some occasional foxing and small stains throughout. No marginalia other than a number of small "check" marks in pencil for a number of the flower listings. A very neat copy, in very good condition. Unpaginated. Full refund if not satisfied.
