The ends of the spine strip and the boards' front corners have color loss from shelf wear rubbing. The letters on the spine strip are no longer legible. Henry Bourne Joy was President of the Packard Motor Company and an early proponent of the interstate highway system. Rhoades was the former president of the Greenwich Savings Bank who retired at the age of 39 to pursue a better life. Octavo, 7 3/4" tall, vii + 125 pages with errata, gilt titles on blue cloth. A very good (minus) first edition copy overall with moderate shelf wear, gilt title on front cover and faded completely on spine; rubbing on the corners, light sporadic foxing to the fore-edges, hinges and binding solid, paper lightly yellowed, BUT blue pencil markings to about 20 pages scattered throughout.
