Leather bound. Condizione: Fair. 312pp. Sextodecimo [15 cm] Full black leather with a gilt tooled spine, and single gilt ruled borders on the covers. All edges gilt. Tan floral endpapers. The front cover is detached, but present. The text block is pulling away from the backstrip, the first eight pages are nearly completely detached, and the text block is cracked multiple times. Pp. 139-142 have small losses from the top fore edge corners, and several pages have closed tears in the edges. There are markings on a few of the pages as well. Ex-libris David R. Lyon, with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Lyon worked as a young apprentice at the Salt Lake Herald newspaper, and then went on to work on Parry's Monthly Magazine with Joseph Hyrum Parry, printer and entrepreneur. He eventually bought Parry's business, along with various other small printing establishments, and created the Magazine Printing Company. Flake: 7219. Second Stereotype Edition, Association Copy.
