There they were greeted and given a tour by a local Vicar, Harry Chappel. Thus began a long friendship with amny visits and letters. Explaining their decision to publish them, Arthur Rippey writes, " Very doon my wife and I realized these letters from Reverand Chappell were no ordinary scraps of news flowing our way They combined effortless essays on church history, on battles fought long ago among the ancient barons of Wales across the marshes that lay between England and mountainous Wales. They commented on English politial figures, on the problems of labor, on the Empire-that-was." Very good condition with a few modest stains to the covers.
