A very, neat clean and tight copy. Synopsis: An Inland Voyage recounts a canoe trip Stevenson and his friend Sir Walter Grindlay Simpson made in 1876. Setting out from Antwerp, Stevenson (in the Arethusa) and Simpson (in the Cigarette) paddled through Belgium and France along canals and the Oise River.

The brief memoir comprising Napa Wine was first published in the expanded book edition of The Silverado Squatters printed in London by Chatto & Windus, 1883, having been omitted from the earlier serialization in Century Magazine. Gabler calls it " a significant literary account of the beginning of the Napa Valley Wine industry," and quotes Stevenson's " the smack of California earth shall linger in the palate of your grandson." Scarce paper dust jacket has slight stains and great damage to the spine and is now in a clear protective sleeve but has done its job and protected the book which is in mint condition.
